Where Are We Now

Over the years, human rights have moved from the fringes to centre stage in world affairs. WOPA has grown from seeking to end violations of women’s sexual and reproductive health rights to upholding the whole spectrum of human rights.
Our work protects and empowers women and children – from combatting discrimination to Providing Psychosocial Counselling and Rehabilitation for victims of exploitation and violence to advocating against Trafficking In Person (TIP) to Child Protection and campaigns against Physically Humiliating Punishment(PHP), and from protecting sexual and reproductive rights including maternal health and keen focus on family planning to raising awareness about Menstrual Hygiene Management , taking the lead in joining stakeholders around the world to raise the level of Women Empowerment through Technology Initiative,

capacitating Women to get to Decision making positions carrying out robust advocacies on children and Men inclusion with an emphasis on positive masculinity as opposed to toxic masculinity, initiating Eco-Friendly projects aimed at raising awareness to tackle the negative effects of climate change on the empowerment, socio-economic and health rights of women and Children namely the ‘WOPA restore a safe planet for women and Children INITIATIVE’.
